Subject: League Update: We Did It!
From: Janis Richardson/LWV South Central Texas

We Did It!

Hi League Members: I am excited to let you know that WE DID IT! We raised more than $5,000 in a very short time, making it possible for us to have the League's highly regarded nonpartisan Voters Guides inserted in 8 of our area newspapers! THANK YOU for making this giant leap forward possible!

Here's how many Guides are going to area households via our various newspapers:

Colorado County Citizen - 2,000 (Oct 16 edition)
Cuero Record - 1,800 (October 16 edition)
Fayette County Record - 13,000 (Oct 11 edition)
Hallettsville Tribune-Herald, Moulton Eagle, Shiner Gazette & Yoakum Herald-Times - 6000 combined (Oct 16 editions)
Yorktown News-View - 1,100 (October 16 edition)

Thanks for being part of the League and helping us grow in numbers and impact!
Janis Richardson, President

We had a productive and fun day on Saturday - labeling, counting, and bundling 4000 additional Voters Guides to distribute to area libraries and other community locations. Thanks to all who helped or reached out about volunteering. As things always go, when everyone pitches in, the work is fun and goes quickly!

Thank you to League members Judy Balch, Jaci Elliott, Peggy Halamicek, Cindy Meredith, Helen Niesner and Jean Wheelis for your labeling mastery!

Are you working at the polls this election?

Please let us know! LWVTX is collecting this information so they can tabulate numbers that demonstrate the significant contribution that League members are making across the state. If you are serving as an election judge, assistant election judge, election clerk, poll monitor, of volunteer deputy registrar, please let us know by completing this very quick form.
